Our story begins with Friedhelm Dutzi, a pioneer of non-plough tillage. Back in the 1970s, he recognized the disadvantages of frequent passes with increasingly heavy machinery and ever-higher speeds, which lead to soil compaction. His answer was the visionary idea of the OnePass process: multiple steps in a single pass to protect the soil and increase efficiency.
As part of KD Agrartechnik, we combine innovation with experience. Our roots lie in practical application. We are convinced that agriculture can only remain successful if soils remain healthy or are restored to health. That is why we develop technology that has an impact beyond the season—right into the next generation.
Our philosophy
DUTZI is about more than just machines. It's about an attitude that has shaped our actions since Friedhelm Dutzi: efficiency, sustainability, and innovation in soil cultivation.
We have further developed the original idea: instead of wide delta coulters, we now use narrow TL shares that penetrate less deeply into the soil, compress the compaction horizon, and then break it up and form deep hairline cracks. This promotes complete loosening of the soil – with significantly lower power and fuel requirements.
This method reduces the risk of smear layers, protects soil life, and creates ideal conditions for deeper roots, higher biological activity, and better water storage. The result is agriculture that remains stable and resilient in the long term.
